Yes, I know it's been almost 4 months since I put anything on here. To catch up, Blake is now a junior in college... well almost. I only have one picture that I can post right now (from work). I'll try to get some more up soon and maybe some video. In the mean time...

Eleven Hours!

Well, we've past the four month mark and everyone is still doing well. I haven't posted much because not much has been going on. No news is good news I guess. Some of Blake's latest developments:

He's growing like crazy and was almost 17 lbs at his 4 month dr. appointment (75th percentile). He is wearing 6 to 9 month clothes, but 9 months actually fit better. I hate clearing out those things that he can't wear anymore but love shopping for new outfits.
His personality is really beginning to develop. He is so funny, blowing bubbles and "talking" all the time. I'd give anything to know what he's trying to say (on second thought maybe I don't want to know).
He is taking 4 to 6 ounces of formula every 3 to 4 hours. He also has some rice cereal before bed. Dr. Roberts said we could add in more cereal and begin trying to spoon feed it to him. We tried once but he just didn't know what to do with it so we'll try again soon.
One of the best changes is that Blake is sleeping through the night. He has been doing this for a while but has recently been going to sleep earlier and staying asleep longer. Last night he went to sleep at 7:00 and slept until 6:00 this morning. Eleven hours! I don't even know what to do with myself when he goes to bed this early.

I'm sure we will have more milestones to tell about soon, it's going by too fast. These are some pics from the last couple of weeks. Enjoy!

Almost Four Months

My sweet bald baby will be four months old on Friday. We will visit the pediatrician on Thursday for a check-up and more shots. Until then here are some (mostly) happy shots from the past couple of weeks.

Blake Loves Spring

I'm thinking maybe I should delete my previous post about Blake starting to teethe and being cranky. He was a completely different baby this weekend. He was very happy and entertained us all weekend with his sweet giggles. The weather was nice and warm which provided for plenty of photo ops. We wanted to try out the baby carrier so Saturday we took a stroll around the neighborhood. Blake loved it. He laughed every time Justin would bounce up and down. Sunday we had a fun photo shoot outside my parents house. My dad bought a tractor and of course we needed pictures. I hope the nice weather continues so we can keep taking Blake out. I know getting out of the house is one reason he was in a better mood.

I think Blake was more interested in sucking on the wheel than steering it.

3 Months

Yesterday was Blake's 3 month birthday. I can't believe how much Blake has changed in 3 short months. I'm not sure how much he weighs now but I'm guessing about 13 or 14 pounds. We don't go back to the doctor (hopefully) until he's 4 months. He's becoming such a sweet little man with a great sense of humor. He has been sleeping through the night for a few weeks now with the help of a little rice cereal before bed. He is normally very happy but lately has been showing signs of teething which has made him a bit cranky. He's so little that teething rings don't help much (can't hold them and won't fit in his mouth). Baby orajel seems to be the only thing that helps but only for a little while. I just hope he can keep sleeping through the night. That definitely makes the days more bearable.

This really is not effective at all. He just licks the water off.

At least the teething has not effected his sleeping throught the night (so far).

This is the best picture I could get on his actual 3 month birhday. He was cranky because of his gums...

and it was 6:30 in the morning.

I'm obviously not very good at blogging because it's been a month since my last update. I guess we've been too busy enjoying Blake to take time to post pictures of him. But believe me we've been taking plenty of pictures. There's not much to say except he's getting so big and really, really cute. I'll just post some of my favorite pictures from the last few weeks.

We haven't updated in a while so here are some various pictures taken over the last few weeks. Blake was 9 lbs 4.5 oz and 21.5 in. at his 1 month check up (February 23rd). It will be interesting to see how much he's grown when we take him later this week for his 2 month check up.

This picture makes me laugh. He gets mad sometimes when he's being buckled into his carseat. But once he's moving he's happy (or asleep).

First Doctor Visit

Blake had his two week check up on February 5, 2009. He was up to 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 20 1/4 in. long. He is a healthy boy and is growing like crazy.

Blake said the worst part about going to the doctor was getting a bath first.

Blake arrived January 22, 2009 at 12:38 a.m. He weighed 6 lbs 15 oz. He was two and a half weeks early and we are glad he is here. Here are some of Blake's first pictures.

Our Very First Blog Post

Justin and I are expecting our first baby very soon now and want to keep everyone up to date on what's going on. This is also for us to look back on and have as a type of scrapbook for the baby. William "Blake" Stanley is due on February 7, 2009. We are very excited and can't wait to post lots of pictures to share with everyone.
